Fire Alarm systems in all premises should be tested regularly to ensure that they are operating correctly and will alert every person in a building should an alarm be activated for any reason.
British Standard recommends that this should be carried out weekly to comply with the building’s fire risk assessment. A manual call point should be operated with the test key using a different call point each week in rotation. The test should be carried out at approximately the same time of day and the results recorded in the logbook.
It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that testing is carried out on a weekly basis and failure to comply with these regulations can put lives at risk and incur serious penalties.
We offer a range of testing packages which cover multiple testing of all manual call points to ensure that the functionality of your fire alarm is maintained at all times. If our engineers become aware of any issues or faults they feed back this information to the designated contact and will complete the log book in accordance with the regulations.
These packages cover all buildings such as public sector sites including educational and health facilities, serviced apartments, retail premises and privately owned properties.
