North West based firm, Black Box, has been appointed by Eric Wright Facilities Management (EWFM) to maintain all the current fire and security systems at each of the 16 PFI fire stations across the North West.
The Black Box team has over 30 specialists who provide a full turnkey solution for all fire and security requirements for a large range of national commercial clients and public sector sites. The team will service stations located across Lancashire, Cumbria and Merseyside all of which have been designed, built, financed and are operated by Balfour Beatty Investments.
Managing Director, David Barnes, said: “Our relationship with Eric Wright is testament to the fact that we deliver projects in budget and on time. These sites range in size from a single appliance fire station to multi-appliance stations with additional garaging for special equipment. Some of the sites also include training facilities and office space.
“There are very strict KPIs on system failures and the number of visits for fire stations and we are well placed with a specialist team to ensure these are met.”
Kate Bailey, Senior Business Development Manager for Eric Wright Facilities Management said: “We have worked with Black Box for over 25 years and they manage our entire portfolio’s security needs, in the facilities management sector.
“This includes everything from small office blocks, to health centres and schools. Both our companies have both grown considerably over this time and we have maintained an excellent working relationship with the team as our clients’ needs have evolved. Black Box has a very responsive team and they have unrivalled knowledge and insight into our business and its bespoke requirements.”
Black Box works across a number of market sectors providing customers with dedicated service, support and unparalleled knowledge to combat crime and fight fire. In each market sector, its services are tailored to unique requirements and the company has built long term customer relationships based on trust, service and results.
